Woman Celebrates 100th Birthday  Centenarian and Tel Hai resident Charlotte Smith received congratulations on her milestone birthday from Teresa Long, Tel Hai's executive vice president of resident services, and state Rep. Timothy Hennessey.
Tel Hai resident Charlotte Smith celebrated her 100th birthday on Oct. 11, surrounded by family and friends. During her celebration, Mrs. Smith received a citation marking the event from state Rep. Timothy Hennessey and was joined by her niece and a grandniece as well as her nephew and his wife. Charlotte joined the Tel Hai Retirement Community, Honey Brook, as a resident of the Meadows health care center in 2011. Born in Chicago, Mrs. Smith graduated in 1933 from DePauw University, where she majored in botany. She married Perrin Smith that same year.
